This Poderi Amarone comes from the village of Bardin, in one of the most beautiful parts of teh Valpolicella region. The Estate is owned by the Bixio family who have been producing wines since the 19th Century.
This DOCG Amarone is made from 80% Corvina Veronese, 15% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella from the Badin Estate. Only the best bunches are selected, after a careful evaluation of the ripeness and health, for the drying process which lasts 60/90 days in a controlled environment. After fermentation, aging for at least 2 years in large oak barrels. Settlement in steel tank before bottling and refining in bottles for about 3 months.
Poderi's colour is a deep ruby with grenade variations that become stronger with the aging of wine and has intense nose, persistent with a fruity black cherry and notes of vanilla. Upon tasting the flavour is Complex and round. Pleasant hints of cassis, black cherry with elegant notes of oak.
Poderi is recommended with roasted meat, grilled meat and hard cheeses and red meat and is ideally served between 18-20°C.
